Welcome to my web site

I thought it was about time to upgrade my old Joomla 1.5 site. First I thought about migrating the old content to Joomla 3.x, but after a short Google search I found out, that there are not many migration tools available any more. After all, Joomla 1.5 is not supported any more for almost 4 years now. So I decided to do a fresh start. The installation was easy as usual with Joomla. Just create a database and a database user with all permissions to that database, download und extract Joomla to the document root of your website and run the installer. In a few minutes the site was up and running.

Next there was the decision to make, what template to use. Since the included templates are not responsive I searched the Internet for a "free responsive Joomla template" and ended up very quickly at JoomlArt. They write that  "Purity III" is "The best free responsive Joomla template" and without looking at other templates I think they might be right. It's using their T3 framework, which is build on Bootstrap 3 and has so many configuration options, it will take me some time to explore all of them ;-)

That's it for now. I hope you'll find some usefull tips here...
